Dr. Keera Fishman, PhD, C.Psych.
Clinical & Neuropsychologist

Dr. Keera Fishman is a compassionate and highly experienced neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist who specializes in providing evidence-based assessment and treatment for adults and older adults facing cognitive and psychological challenges.

Her expertise includes working with clients experiencing brain injuries, stroke, ADHD, concussion, age-related memory changes, mild cognitive impairment, dementia (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease), Parkinson’s disease, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and caregiver stress.

Dr. Fishman creates a non-judgmental, collaborative space to develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, empowering clients to build resilience and manage cognitive changes and mental health concerns. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing on cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based techniques.

With her specialized training in neuropsychology, Dr. Fishman is particularly passionate about providing neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy to individuals with cognitive or neurological conditions, such as ADHD, concussion, traumatic brain injury, stroke, typical aging, mild cognitive impairment, and neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease). She also offers support to family members of those affected by these conditions. She uses a cognitive rehabilitation framework to help clients manage organizational, attention, and memory difficulties. She is deeply committed to supporting her clients’ well-being and cognitive health.



Dr. Fishman earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 2021. She completed her predoctoral residency in the Neuropsychology and Cognitive Health program at Baycrest Hospital and the Neuropsychology Clinic at UHN’s Toronto Western Hospital. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship as the Neuropsychology Lead of the Ontario Neurodegenerative Disease Research Initiative (ONDRI).



At Baycrest Hospital, Dr. Fishman leads cognitive interventions for individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), focusing on evidence-based memory strategies, lifestyle changes, and psychoeducation about dementia risk and aging. She also provides inpatient consultation at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. With the support of a CABHI Spark Grant, Dr. Fishman’s team has also recently launched a free, interactive webinar “Learning the Ropes Foundations” designed to provide evidence-based information to older adults with concerns about memory decline (www.baycrest.org/ltrfoundations). 



Dr. Fishman is the recipient of several national and provincial scholarships to support her research. She has published several peer-reviewed articles focusing on understanding the impact of neuropsychiatric symptoms on memory and executive function and understanding how neurological conditions evolve over time.
