Fees

Our fees for services are charged on an hourly basis and range from $150 to $275 per hourly session. These rates are based on the qualifications, training, and clinical experience of a particular associate. We match you with a therapist based on your therapeutic needs and through our matching process.

Psychological and Social Work services are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). However, most of our clients have access to extended health benefits through employee and private health insurance plans, which provide full or partial coverage for services provided by a registered psychologist or a registered social worker. Some health insurance plans also offer coverage for services provided by masters or doctoral level clinicians who work under the direct supervision of a psychologist.

You are encouraged to check with your insurer regarding coverage and whether or not your plan requires a physician referral.

Additionally, psychological and social work services are a tax-deductible medical expense.

Payment

Payment for services is due at the end of each session and you will be provided a receipt that you can submit for reimbursement to your insurance company or save for tax purposes.

We accept the following methods of payment: Visa or MasterCard.

Policies

Cancellations or Missed Appointments

To get the most benefit from therapy, it is important to attend regularly scheduled appointments. If you must change or cancel an appointment time that has been set aside for you, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can provide that time to another individual.

Except under certain extenuating circumstances, you will be charged the full hourly rate for an appointment that is not cancelled 48 hours in advance.

Privacy

Ensuring the privacy of personal information is an essential principle guiding our work. Psychologists are bound by professional standards and by legislation to maintain confidentiality. Client information is not released to anyone without your permission, except as required by law in Ontario. We will discuss these exceptions with you at the first appointment and will answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding confidentiality and its limits.

A written description of our privacy policy relating to protection of your personal health information is available upon request.
