She strives to continually strengthen this alliance through use of empathy, active listening, and a strengths-based lens.

Jennifer received clinical training through her Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto and trained at Toronto Western Hospital where she worked with patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions and brain injuries. She has worked with individuals along the lifespan in the healthcare system, from new parents to rehab, and palliative patients.

In this work she has helped patients with a range of concerns including major life transitions, depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, navigating new diagnoses, working with families, as well as relationship and existential stressors.

Jennifer has worked in various community settings supporting survivors of gender-based violence and sexual violence to access supportive counselling, to leave abusive situations and find safe housing. Her community experience also includes supporting newcomers to Canada, seniors, and queer and trans adolescents.
