Parent Coaching - We provide parent coaching in a supportive environment to help you work through challenges in collaboration with our skilled therapists.

Parent Coaching

Welcome to our parent coaching services. We provide support to parents and caregivers in our downtown office or through secure, online video for individuals residing anywhere in the province of Ontario. We are passionate about helping families achieve greater harmony and meaningful change.

We recognize that the health of the family makes an immense contribution to children and their wellbeing. Together, we hone in on what matters to you, build upon your strengths, and work collaboratively toward your goals.

Parenting is not always intuitive. Your child goes through a number of developmental phases from birth to adulthood. At each stage, there are challenges and many opportunities to enhance their growth. Our aim is to partner with you and apply our training as psychologists to support you in your parenting journey.

We provide parenting support for children and teens. Parent coaching can address a wide range of issues such as the following:

  • Establishing healthy routines and effective limit setting
  • Sleeping, eating, and toileting challenges
  • Questions about developmental milestones
  • Tantrums and behavioural difficulties
  • Parenting blocks and difficulties connecting with your child
  • Managing ADHD and difficulties with impulse control
  • Finding ways to support deep-feeling, highly sensitive children
  • Supporting your child with mental health challenges (e.g., anxiety, depression)
  • Guidance with transitions, trauma and loss
  • Assisting with school concerns (e.g., bullying, social skills, and learning difficulties)
  • Managing family/parenting stress, blended families, and coparenting after separation
  • Improving and repairing family relationships

One essential need for children is having responsive relationships with adults. Supportive relationships also build a foundation for resilience. The most common protective factor for children and teens who develop the capacity to overcome setbacks is having at least one stable and committed relationship. Responsive relationships help children and adults deal with stress, regulate emotions and behaviours, and build hope for the future.

We aim to provide a non-judgmental and compassionate environment, where you can feel safe enough to work through parenting challenges in collaboration with our skilled therapists. We hope our work together will support you as a parent and ultimately, help you foster a positive, empathetic, and secure relationship with your child.
